I was asked to create moving image visuals for a music event titled Fluid Frequencies in Hackney, which went down on September 4th @ sevente-london.
It was great timing as my workflow has solidified, and this was the first opportunity to put my animations into an unexplored environment.
Responding to the broad theme, I was really feeling some underwater work. I produced a series of fish meets techno animations for the night and in the process, I realised just how efficient my workflow has become. I was able to execute my ideas with great efficiency, while still remaining true to the art.
People seemed to really enjoy the work, and for me it marked a small but important beginning: a step toward deepening my practice and expanding it beyond the confines of my own socials.
I’ve included some images from the night, and the master cut of all the animations I provided. The animations are loop sequences which were able to be mapped to the BPM of the music.
